MSC introduces US$100 food-quality surcharge
Mediterranean Shipping Company Australia yesterday announced the immediate implementation of a US$100 per teu food quality surcharge.
MSC Australia/New Zealand managing director Kevin Clarke said a considerable decline in imports had contributed to a shortage of 20-ft containers and there was "enormous demand" from grain shippers.
