Tasmanian Ports Corporation (Tasports) won the Port of the Year Award at the 14th annual Lloyd’s List DCN Australian Shipping and Transport Awards in Sydney last night.
Port of the Year: Svitzer Australia managing director Anders Egehus presents the award to TasPorts chief operating officer David Phillips
The port was one of four finalists in the category which recognised outstanding commercial success or exceptional management of port operations and expansion.
Tasports has had broad success since bringing 11 of Tasmania’s ports together under one management structure almost four years ago.
