Vics stump NSW tilt for ASA cricket shield
AS THE temperature soared into the mid-30s, the Australian Shipowners Association held its annual cricket match earlier this month to play for the coveted Australasian Steamship Owners Chairman’s Shield.
The two traditional foes, Victoria and NSW took to the oval just after midday amid a vocal contingent of supporters and players. Fittingly, Wayne Cooper (AMSA) umpired from the city end with Warwick Norman (RightShip) officiating at the pavilion end....
