Destroyer and boxship collide

JAPAN has confirmed that one of its navy destroyers has collided with a South Korean containership off southern Japan, starting fires on both ships.
According to the Japanese Defence Ministry, the destroyer Kurama collided with the Carina Star last week in the Kanmon Strait near the southern island of Kyushu.
One person on board Kurama was injured, the ministry said.
