Gillard launchess AMC's $10m cavitation facility

Deputy prime minister Julia Gillard opened the Australian Maritime College's cavitation research facility in Launceston yesterday.
The $10m facility includes a cavitation tunnel used to study the formation of bubbles caused by rapid changes in pressure in objects such as pumps, propellers and the outflow tunnels that deal with water that often moves rapidly.
