Norweigan shipping tycoon John Fredriksen has confirmed that he is considering entering the box sector and has held initial talks with the owners of new ‘budget’ container line, The Container Co.
The start-up company, which is likely to be a very stripped down offering compared with existing major lines with niche direct services, is looking to launch its first services in the first quarter of next year.
