A year to recognise: Australian Shipping and Transport Awards attendees in 2008

Nominations for all 10 contested categories will close on Friday.

Those who have nominated already are reminded to check that they received a return email to confirm receipt of their submission.

The gala dinner and awards night, to be held at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on November 26, is celebrating its 14th year.

The awards recognise excellence across a number of areas, including exceptional service, environmental responsibility, commitment to safety, innovation in security, achievement in training and education, recognisable achievement in planning and performance in transport and logistics and excellence in freight forwarding.

The Australian Port or Terminal of the Year Award will also be presented on the night, and all port and terminal operators yet to submit their nominations are reminded to do so by close-of-business Friday.

Nominations are open for all categories except the Newsmaker of the Year award and the naming of a new inductee into the Trade and Transport Hall of Fame.

Anyone can nominate, either themselves or another individual, company or organisation.

Nominations can be sent by email to lldcnawards@informa.com.au.

For more information on nominating, go to the awards website at www.lloydslistdcnawards.com.au or call David Dunwoodie on (02) 90804058.
