NSW-Acacia Ridge track upgrade begins

Work has started on a significant upgrade of the rail line between the New South Wales border and the Brisbane intermodal hub Acacia Ridge.
The $55.8m project, funded under the Federal Government’s Economic Stimulus Plan, will replace existing timber sleepers with 105,000 new concrete sleepers.
The project will create 120 jobs.
