Verify authority, shipbroker body warns
The Global Hawk case has prompted an Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) warning of the dangers of complacency in shipbroking processes.
The recent Federal Court case centred on the relationship between shipbrokers, clients and customers and a mistaken belief on who had authority to make deals.
