OPEC to step up output

THE Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will increase oil production in October to meet growing demand in Asia.

The oil cartel will be exporting an extra 160,000 barrels per day to October 10. This increases OPEC’s exports, excluding new members Angola and Ecuador, to 22.5m bpd, according to UK consultancy Oil Movements.
