K+N sees first sign of seafreight recovery
EUROPEAN logistics group Kuehne+Nagel, which saw gross profit fall 7.3% to SFr4.4bn (US$4.3bn) in the first nine months of 2009, has indicated an improvement in seafreight volumes.
Although the Swiss company said that containerised seafreight during the first half of the year was characterised by significant volume declines, it added that the third quarter “saw the first signs of recovery”.
