Tasports lifts ferry docking ban

TASMANIAN Ports Corporation (Tasports) has lifted last week’s ban on Bass Strait islands ferry service operator Southern Shipping, saying it had received payment of outstanding port fees.

The Tasmanian Government-owned ports company had earlier stopped the Matthew Flinders from berthing at Lady Barron on Flinders Island, having lost patience with the shipowner.
