Air cargo imports bounce back
Australia’s air cargo industry bounced back in July, a sign that the country is recovering from the economic downturn still crippling other parts of the world.
Statistics released by Maritrade showed that airfreight import volumes rose in July and were back to levels reached in December last year of more than 30,000 tonnes.
Import volumes were also above the trend line of 33,000 tonnes, the figures revealed.
