Boskalis declares offer for Smit unconditional
DREDGING giant Boskalis has declared unconditional its €60-per-share and dividend offer for fellow Dutch maritime services company Smit, with nearly 90% of the shares accepted.
The on-off €1.4bn (US$1.9bn) merger, which saw Boskalis’ original takeover approach rejected by Smit in September 2008, will create a maritime services company of “global scale”.
