Buyers wait in line to snap up bargain ships
DESPITE rising secondhand tanker prices suggesting that vessel values for wet tonnage have bottomed out, brokers are still reporting hesitation in the sale and purchase market as players maintain their cautious wait-and-see game.
Even though sales activity has been slow, vessel values have been climbing gradually since the start of the year, after bottoming in late December, but this does not appear to be tempting companies to sell modern tonnage.
