Lift off for Asia Pacific air cargo
DEMAND for airfreight services of Asia-Pacific airlines in February spiked 29.8% from a year earlier, a sign that the global economic recovery is in full swing.
Air cargo demand, measured in freight tonne kilometres, rose to 4.3bn in February from 3.3bn in the previous corresponding period, according to the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), which represents 23 carriers in the Asia Pacific region.
