Maersk chief calls for more cuts
MAERSK group chief executive Nils Andersen has called on the carrier’s staff to help bring about a further US$500m in cost savings over the course of this year.
Outlining the group’s priorities for 2010 in its internal magazine, Maersk Post, he said that last year’s Project One cost-cutting program eliminated US$2bn and unveiled a new “accelerate to win” priority.
