Panamax bulkers tumble

THE Baltic Dry Index continued to slide last week, with panamax bulk carrier rates providing the biggest drop.

Average panamax time charter rates fell US$1,149 to US$33,136 per day, but were still considerably higher than average capesize rates, which dropped another US$120 to US$28,593 per day.
