Freight index to bounce back
DANSKE Bank’s monthly European freight forwarding index remained high during July and volumes are expected to “bounce back” in September after a predicted slowdown this month.
The index – a snapshot of market sentiment among 132 freight forwarders in northern and eastern Europe – stayed at 66 last month, compared with July last year when it dropped to 48.
