PierPass bouncing back towards 100% capacity
CONGESTION at international container terminals in the bellwether ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach has boosted the PierPass program, which now claims to be back to around 90% of full capacity and expects to be at 100% within two months.
PierPass president Bruce Wargo said seven of the 13 terminal operators in LA-Long Beach have reinstated the Saturday shift, while the other six still are operating at the reduced level of four nightly shifts that was put in place...
