Maersk storms back with US$2.5bn profit
Danish shipping and energy group AP Moller-Maersk stormed back into the black in the first half of 2010 with a profit of US$2.5bn, having lost US$539m in the same period of 2009.
Maersk Line’s parent company had suffered its first ever full year loss in 2009 when it plunged into the red to the tune of just over US$1bn, having made a profit of almost US$3.5bn in 2008.
