GRAINCORP and AWB have agreed to merge with the resulting new company set to be more competitive with other global grain giants.
Under the scheme of arrangement, AWB shareholders will receive one Graincorp share for every 5.75 AWB shares, leaving Graincorp investors with a 58% stake in the new entity and their AWB counterparts with 42%.
