Memorial services held for Melbourne stevedore in 11 ports across Australia
WATERSIDE workers, MUA officials, politicians and family friends gathered at memorial services around Australia last Friday to remember Melbourne stevedore, Steve Piper.
Mr Piper (pictured) died instantly when crushed by a steel beam which fell from a crane at P&O Automotive and General Stevedoring’s Appleton Dock in Melbourne on July 15.
