New Queensland coastal operator Q-Coast Shipping is loading its first cargo from the port of Townsville to Brisbane.

Q-Coast Shipping operations manager Graham Magoffin said today that fertiliser was being loaded onto the 629 teu MCP Paphos under a contract of affreightment with Incitec Pivot.
