Results from a water quality monitoring exercise show that the $250m Inner Harbour deepening project at the port of Fremantle will not pose a risk to surrounding waters.

The Fremantle Port Authority said metal, pesticide and hydrocarbon tests conducted by marine specialist Oceanica showed that potential contaminants were below the environmental guidelines.
