NATO forces re-capture hijacked bulker

Danish marines recaptured a Slovenian-owned bulk carrier on Friday and rescued the ship’s 25 crew, who had locked themselves in a secure room in the accommodation block.

Special forces from the NATO anti-piracy ship, Absalon, stormed the Antigua & Barbuda-flagged, 32,441 dwt Ariella in the early hours of Friday morning, after the ship’s master issued a security alert warning that pirates had boarded her.
