Port of Brisbane tips flat year for trade

Total trade through the port of Brisbane will probably be “marginally” higher than 2008/09, according to Port of Brisbane Corporation chief executive Jeff Coleman.

While total trade during the first quarter of 2009/10 was relatively flat, volumes picked up in the second quarter.

“We are not seeing any further declines and there are tentative signs of improvement in trade,” Mr Coleman said.
