Bimco backs shipbroker, agent quality standards

Shipping Australia today welcomed a major shipowner body's endorsement of quality standards for ship agents and brokers.

The backing of the quality standards, described by the Baltic and International Maritime Council (Bimco) as a "daring initiative", came this week after two years of development by the Federation of National Associations of Shipbrokers and Agents (Fonasba).
