Boxship voyage times are increasing
THE AVERAGE container service voyage time from Asia to northern Europe has been stretched from eight to almost 10 weeks as super-slow steaming takes a firm hold.
Only four loops are still operating at higher speeds, according to industry analyst Alphaliner and even they are expected to slow down further soon.
