Precious posts profit fall
THAILAND’s Precious Shipping has reported a 38% decline in its full-year net profit for 2009, reflecting realities in its niche business of tramp dry bulk shipping.
Precious returned a full-year net profit of Baht3.1bn (US$93.5m) compared with the corresponding figure of Baht4.9bn in 2008.
Total revenues for 2009 were 26% weaker, at Baht6.4bn compared with Baht8.7bn a year ago.
