THE FEDERAL Government has moved to toughen up rules for holders and issuers of security passes at Australian ports and oil and gas facilities.

Federal transport minister Anthony Albanese last week unveiled a raft of new conditions for those seeking to gain security clearances and the authorities that issue clearances.
