Hapag-Lloyd may not need state aid package

GERMANY’S leading container line, Hapag-Lloyd, reported a near breakeven result in the fourth quarter of 2009, industry sources said.
“The outcome for the full year will be almost at the same level as the figures for the first three quarters,” sources told Lloyd’s List.
In the first three quarters, Hapag-Lloyd posted an operating loss of €675m (US$948m).
