SCIENTIFIC organisations from around the world have met for the first time to discuss how ballast water treatment systems for ships are tested.
The meeting in Malmo, Sweden, was held ahead of last week’s Ballast Water Forum and aimed at finding a level of comparison for technologies that owners will soon be forced to use on their vessels.
