New CSIRO project aims at transport sector
Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) researchers are aiming to produce a new generation of polymer composite materials for use in aircraft, road vehicles, trains and ferries.
CSIRO scientists hope the super-strong, lightweight, new polymer composites will save fuel and cut emissions, while adding strength, stiffness, impact resistance, fire resistance and heat reflectance.
