Global downturn squeezes PFL
PACIFIC Forum Line, the Auckland-based carrier jointly owned by 12 regional governments, is rationalising its operations as it battles the effects of the global recession in its key markets.
The line, which this week announced a shift of its Australia agency representation from Swire to Quay Solutions, is joining the Pacific Direct Line/Reef Shipping vessel-sharing consortium RHIA and will merge services ex New Zealand to Pacific destinations.
