Logistics lag puts focus on urgent reform

THE WORLD Bank’s latest biennial Logistics Performance Index (LPI) has put the urgency for the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to press on with finding a common regulatory framework across all freight transport modes into sharp relief.

That was the message from Australian Logistics Council chief executive Michael Kilgariff following the index’s release at the weekend , showing Australia ranked at 18th, a fall of one place.
France improved enough to just tip Australia out of 17th...
