Report condemnation of Bangladeshi yards
A US human rights group has released graphic photos and published eyewitness accounts of a fatal explosion at a Bangladeshi shipbreaking yard that killed seven cutters working on a main gas tank.
The Pittsburgh-based National Labor Committee found that families of the dead workers at Rahim Steel and Shipbreaking were provided with Taka10,000 (US$145) in compensation, based on accounts of employees and injured.
