Austal-built vessel to help Haiti

AN AUSTAL catamaran originally intended for a now bankrupt client in Hawaii will be used by the US Maritime Administration for relief efforts in Haiti.
The 113 metre Huakai, built last year for Hawaii Superferry, can transport people, vehicles and other cargo at speeds of up to 40 knots.
Huakai may serve as a link between Haiti and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba or Miami,...
