Battle over empties impost
LAND and seafreight interests are preparing for a possible legal joust over Melbourne’s empty container operations.
The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) threw down the gauntlet to container lines last week, saying the lines could be taken to court if they tried to enforce empty container demurrage charges.
