Bumper grain harvest lifts owner prospects

BUMPER wheat and soyabean harvests from the US, Brazil and Argentina will push panamax and supramax freight rates higher during the second quarter of 2010.

Maersk Broker said in its quarterly report that these grain exports would support demand in the bulk carrier sector, combined with iron ore stockpiling by China.
