SHIPS and helicopters were searching for 12 fishermen missing following a collision last Thursday between a trawler and the 1994-built, 12,229 dwt vehicle carrier Curitiba off the coast of eastern China’s Fujian province.
The ship is managed by Japan’s Shoei Kisen Kaisha, while the registered owner is Panamanian company Catalina Shipping which is the registered owner of six other vessels including two 6,400 teu boxships, MOL Pace and MOL Promise.
