ONLY half the 1,400 dry bulk carriers scheduled for delivery in 2010 will hit the water this year, two leading brokers have forecast.
Inexperienced shipbuilding yards, a lack of available finance to fund expansion plans and a desperate bid to slow down the pace of deliveries to ensure employment further down line are all factors in play.
