Coastal trading blow as WAN goes offshore

A substantial chunk of east-west coastal cargo will disappear following a decision by Western Australian Newspapers to source most of its newsprint requirements offshore.

The Boyer, Tasmania plant of Norways Norske Skog had supplied up to 90% of WANs paper under a 10-year contract that expired on June 30. 

However, the company has now split its business between South Korea's Jeonju (50%), France's UPM...
