Asciano streamlines corporate structure
AUSTRALIAN port and rail operator Asciano plans to simplify its corporate structure in a bid to attract a wider range of domestic and overseas investors.
The restructure, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals, will see Asciano Finance investors exchange their stapled securities for shares in a newly-formed Asciano Ltd subsidiary called NewCo and then swap them for Asciano Ltd shares.
