Kuehne+Nagel sees freight surge
KUEHNE+Nagel saw demand for global sea freight accelerate in the second quarter of this year, “leading to shortages in shipping capacity and containers resulting in significant rate increases”.
The Switzerland-based global logistics giant reported a 20% surge in maritime containers in the first six months of 2010, compared with an 11.2% half-year fall in 2009 and said it had returned to its “pre-crisis growth dynamics”.
