Chinese shipyards warned of looming overcapacity
CHINA’S Policy Planning Office, the government’s economic think tank, has warned that Chinese shipyards face a threat of overcapacity in two to three years if new orders continue to decline.
Policy Planning Office vice director Zheng Xinli told local press that the country’s shipyards saw a marked shrinkage in new orders in the second half this year.
