PN orders engines to cope with Qld demand
ASCIANO subsidiary Pacific National has ordered another nine narrow gauge diesel-powered trains to accommodate a surge in the volume of coal it will haul by rail in the coming years.
The latest order of 25kV heavy haul electric class 7100 locomotives is due to be delivered in January 2012, taking the total number of trains the German manufacturer, Siemens will supply PN within the next 18 months to 31.
