China Merchants buys pallet maker
CHINESE port and logistics conglomerate China Merchants Group (CMG) has acquired Australian pallet maker Loscam in a move to break into the pallet pooling business.
CMG did not disclose the value but sources familiar with the transaction estimated it to be worth $650m-$700m.
Loscam is mainly engaged in the operation and management of a pallet pooling system.
