European Union border -free transit bid fails
EFFORTS to create a formality-free space for ships trading within European Union waters have been frustrated by national governments yet again.
Shortsea shipping services that include non-EU ports will not be able to benefit fully from the so-called maritime space without frontiers, the European Parliament transport committee heard last month.
