Projects still on hold after Macondo leak
OIL companies have been forced to delay development of 12 deepwater projects in the US Gulf of Mexico because of the drilling ban and changes in regulations in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Oil majors BP, Shell and Chevron have had to put on hold some of the region’s largest projects, while the cessation of all deepwater drilling has halted developments for five other companies.
